Era Consulting Group is committed to meet the needs of our employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to eliminate and prevent barriers to accessibility. Era Consulting Group is dedicated to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
This accessibility plan outlines how we are meeting those requirements and improving opportunities for people with disabilities. Our plan shows how we will play our part in making Era Consulting Group accessible to everyone.
The plan is reviewed and updated at least once every 5 years.
Era Consulting Group is committed to assist in the following ways:
Communication
Era Consulting Group will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that takes into account their disability.
Assistive Devices
We will ensure that our staff are trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by co-workers and customers with disabilities while accessing our goods or services.
Service Animals
We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals.
Support Persons
A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on our premises.
Notice of Temporary Disruption
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities at the Era Consulting Group’s office, we will notify the customers promptly. This clearly posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.
Training for Staff
Era Consulting Group will provide training to all employees, volunteers, and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf. We train every person as soon as practicable after being hired and provide training in respect of any changes to the policies.
Training will include:
- An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the customer service standard.
- Era Consulting Group’s accessible customer service plan and policy.
- How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities.
- How to interact with people with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person.
- How to use wheelchair lifts, etc., available on-site or otherwise that may help with providing goods or services to people with disabilities, and/or other applicable assistive devices.
- What to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing Era Consulting Group’s facility.
- Staff will also be trained when changes are made to our accessible customer service plan.
We maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.
Feedback Process
Clients who wish to provide feedback on how Era Consulting Group delivers goods or services to people with reduced mobility can email us at rh@group-era.com or call us at (514) 316-4949. All feedback will be directed to the Human Resources department. Clients can expect a response within two business days. Complaints will be handled according to our organization's standard complaint management procedures.
Changes to This Policy or Other Policies
Any Era Consulting Group policy that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with reduced mobility will be modified or removed.
